The reform government has vowed to make changes to its current structure, including the merger of several Ministries. However, since the fall session began a month ago, little has been done in Parliament besides arguing and debating about whom to appoint as Ministers of the newly structured Ministries. It has been decided that, for the moment, acting Ministers will head the new Ministries.
Until the appointments are finalized, the Ministry of Road, Transportation Construction and Urban Development will be headed by the current Minister of Human Development and Social Security, S. Erdene. Minister of Industry and Agriculture Sh. Tuvdendorj will head the Ministry of Mining and Energy. And the Ministry of Foreign Relations and Economic Cooperation will be in the hands of Ch. Saikhanbileg, head of the Cabinet Secretariat of the Government of Mongolia.
